Rental terms

  1. 1. DamagePlease take good care of your scooter. Damage is charged according to our public price list plus a 500 THB workshop fee. In case of total loss or loss of the vehicle, the renter is liable for its current value. All scooters are equipped with GPS.
  2. 2. Hill ridesRiding in the hills is allowed, but at your own risk. Take extra care on very steep routes such as Pra Buddha Dipankara, The Roof or Overlap Stone. Damage caused by overloading or overheated brakes is paid by the renter.
  3. 3. Accidents & safetyAuBanan accepts no liability for accidents or injuries. Please ride carefully, always wear a helmet and never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs. A maximum of 2 adults plus up to 2 children per scooter.
  4. 4. Rental periodOne rental day = 24 hours. Up to 1 hour late is free; after that, up to 12 hours = ½ rental day, beyond that = 1 full rental day. Please arrange extensions in advance on WhatsApp.
  5. 5. UseThe scooter may not be handed over or sublet to third parties without our agreement and must not leave Koh Samui. In case of violation, 10,000 THB is charged.
  6. 6. FuelHandover and return with a full tank of Gasohol 95. Missing fuel is charged at 50 THB per bar.
  7. 7. KeysLoss: 2,400 THB keyless key / 500 THB normal key.
  8. 8. HandoverThe condition of the scooter is recorded on video at handover and sent to you on WhatsApp.
  9. 9. Payment & depositThe rent is paid in THB at handover. No deposit required.

Good to know before you book

  • In Thailand you normally don't refuel yourself: stop at a pump marked “Gasohol 95” and say “Full tank, Gasohol 95 please.” The staff fill it for you.
  • No cash at hand? In exceptional cases damage can also be paid by PayPal.Spare part prices: Honda Click 150i
  • Delivery and collection: our driver writes to you on WhatsApp when he has arrived. No need to wait outside.
  • Quality helmets, also full-face and kids' helmets. If a helmet doesn't fit, swap it for free at our shop.
  • Any problem during your rental? Message us on WhatsApp, we usually reply within minutes.

Safety first

Koh Samui is a hilly island. Good tyres, reliable brakes and a technically sound scooter matter here more than anywhere. That is why we don't cut corners on maintenance to offer the lowest price.

  • Every scooter gets new tyres every year, without exception.
  • Brakes and brake pads are renewed or serviced twice a year.
  • Regular checks by our own workshop.

If you are only looking for the cheapest scooter on the island, we may not be the right rental for you. If you want a safe, well-kept and reliable scooter, you are in the right place.

Damage is no drama

With a large fleet, small damage happens every month, and our workshop repairs it quickly at fair prices. If something gets damaged, just be honest with us. You only pay the damage you caused, based on our public price list. Once it is paid, the matter is completely settled.

  • Where a model has a public spare part price list, its prices apply; otherwise the actual repair cost.
  • Plus a flat 500 THB workshop fee, nothing else.
  • We calculate it together with you: which part, its price, the workshop fee and the total.

Damage is paid in cash at return. If you unexpectedly don't have enough cash, PayPal is possible in exceptional cases.

Video at handover

At every handover we film the whole scooter together with you and send you the video on WhatsApp. You don't need to photograph every scratch yourself: the video protects you and us.

Good helmets for all

Not just thin plastic shells: we have good quality helmets, full-face helmets and safe children's helmets. If a helmet doesn't fit, come to our shop during opening hours and swap it for free.

If anything happens during your rental, a problem with the scooter, a question or you are simply unsure: write to us directly on WhatsApp. We usually reply within minutes and help you right away.
